In a much overdue move, Hulu is rolling out a new look to its interface this summer.
It will look more like Netflix or Disney+, with collections of content laid out vertically across the home screen. The top navigation is also simplified with My Stuff, TV Shows, and Movies across the top.
The redesign only goes so far though. Many internal pages are still confusing to use for most people. I’d expect to see those pages get a facelift soon.
The effort is largely being done to address user complaints about the unusual interface and to follow in the footsteps of Hulu’s largest owner (Disney) that launched the very successful Disney+ app.
